Talking Steiger 1/16 to Rc Converison

I did some trading and such with a good friend of mine Robbert last year at Indy to get me a 1/16 Ertl 4x4 tractor turned into a RC tractor. Well Friday it showed up and I could not be happier with the out come of it. The running gear is made out of Tamiya semi axle and a Rc4wd R2 tranny and a Rc4wd 4 to 1 Gear Reduction Unite a 55 turn crawler motor. The motor is running off a castle ESC running 11.1 lipo and a castle BEC and a VG600 remote.

The tractor runs and pulls great I am working on getting my first piece of tillage equipment and will be ran by a servo viva the ports that are mounted on the rear of the tractor. i will also be working on a silage blade for it to.

I believe it will have plenty of power as a 2WD.

Yeah, that is a sweet conversion! Rob did an awesome job with it. You're a lucky guy, Paul. All the cool models you have. Very nice.

I love it Paul, Steigers have always been so impressive. I have that same model in my collection. Nice how he did not have to destroy the looks of the model.

My only suggestion is to paint the steering rods Steiger green, they will look like steering cylinders.

I think my eyes are fooling me!! how does the steering work?
Are they actually cylinders or just rods, either way, how does it work?

I finally worked it out..... Just had a brain overload....It happens, Lol

I agree I think they look like the cylinders myself so i am not going to paint them as they will look out of place the steering is a 645 servo that is mounted in the back half of the tractor and pushes to turn the rear end.

Thanks for all the great comments guys.
