Seems too good to be true. There is another listing using the exact same picture for 9k+ USD. Guess I'm paranoid...

The same seller has that $9k for a buy it now price. I'm going to assume his reserve price is near that. Seems very legit to me.

These prices are all ridiculous USD9k and 10k, seriously one can buy a full size wheel loader and start digging with these prices for a 1/14 scale.

With this you can do some practical work and earn few bucks!

I am operating cat960F in real world can tell you the real thing is more fun with you in the centre and all the hydraulic muscle, engine roar around you. Obviously you need a heavy equipment operator licence to do this!!

I'm not sure what's your objective here? but we know these models can cost as much if not more than some real machines, but can you dig in your basement or drive a semi truck in your backyard?? NO. So that's why we're in this hobby.

also unlike the real world, you can dig at local parks without breaking the law or damaging property. but if you bought a full sized excavator, you would need a heavy equipment operators license and you cannot dig at a local park. also this hobby is much safer than real heavy equipment operating. some media makes some people think that R/C operating is bad because an R/C truck hit a girl on youtube. I don`t agree with the girl getting hurt, nor do I agree with some of the people in the comments saying that all R/C operators are bad. thing is, if you are not old enough to get a valid drivers licence, then you cannot drive homemade vehicles, even if it is street legal. so this is why this hobby is here.

I heard that it has a geared motor for the quick coupler and hammer. Which makes me think that the auxiliary hydraulic hose is actually an electrical connection. Very clever.

Thanks, this is great info. Yet more reasons to invest in a scale model excavator rather than a full scale machine.

I just enjoy pissing huge amounts of money away! Some buy cars, some drink, some smoke their money away. I even know a few who enjoy depositing dollar bills in g-strings, I enjoy radio controlled miniatures. Everyone has their hobbies, but the cost your willing to pay is up to you. Doesn't have to be 10K.

Or those people who spend 50K on a boat that spends 8 months of the year on a trailer in the driveway. Never mind the cost to run one. Boating is a expensive hobby compared to RC's imo.
