Steve. You knocked that one, right out of the park, and there must have been quite a pile of chips on the floor. The frame on this truck looks like it will be rock solid and heavy duty.

Hmm, Did you forget to take .100'' off from the edgefinder?

Any pictures of your set up on the machine?

yes I remembered that other wise the backside pocketing would be off . It may be that when using the cam I clicked on the circle edge and not center I'm not sure you can see it in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLyOWczx1DQ
if not I'll take a pic when I do the other side or a trailer frame I'm going to set up . It's basically a fence that I can bolt the stock to .This trailer frame set might take a few days + igot to get more plate for the othe side

Looking good!! And everyone thinks that running a CNC mill or lathe is just push the go button and everything comes out OK Slowing down the feedrate is not that bad of a thing to do. Recommended feeds and speeds are not all what they are cracked up to be!!!

thanks Lynn , tell me about it I tried to tell my wife that now she gets it , I just never spent so much time at the puter then the machine I cut the recomended feed down by 30% seems to work well I just worked up the next op for those trailer frames with the other frame in it 12 hrs I'm thinking I need to find a water jet guy for the basic profiles

Hey Steve, are you going to chuck the walking beam's in your 4 jaw chuck? or use a dead center and lathe dog? Center drilling for the tail stock(live center) look's like fun.
Later, Neil#2 aka doodlebug.
