Default Need to know the best way to paint aluminum?

Hey guys i would like to know the best way to paint aluminum, I made the frame for my 6x6 out of aluminum and would like to paint it black and make it stick. what your thoughts. thanks.

What will acid etch primer do to plastic parts like x-mbrs, axles etc.?

Shouldn't hurt them, I've used it to paint axles, x-members and all other plastic parts.

You get it at a auto supply store. Dupla Color has some it is green it works but it is not the best you can get Dupont or Nason also in cans from a auto body supply store make sure you use a sealer primer over it before you put down your color..
