So it's a small cnc table that moves fast and accurately to unscrewup our freehand routing of parts?

No, it's a free hand router. But uses an optical system (the dotted tape) for scanning/placement. You use it like an ordinary hand router, but it shows you a basic path to take/follow and then uses tiny servo motors to correct the x and y movements - sort of like how a gyro works. It is correcting your arm/hand inaccuracies. If you move too far off the path you are following, it retracts the tool so not to cause damage to your component. You can preposition and then hit go and it plunges down in exactly the correct position to begin cutting again.
Initially I say it looks quite good - time will tell and show its limitations, but so far I'm quite impressed.

Cool, it's like computer aided routing/correcting and I remember seeing this a while back when the guy first came up with the idea. Nice to know that it's progressed to being sold to the public now. There is also this one which is closer to a traditional CNC router.

That's just a sampling of videos that are on Youtube about this machine, there are many more. Usual disclaimer: Don't work for them, don't make any money promoting this machine, just think it's a clever idea and want Santa to bring me one.
