When I built the king Hauler and globe liner 20 years ago all you could get was the wired trailer hookup with the truck light kit. I was happy to see that we could go wireless now. I found two choice's, SStronix and OB1 rc.
I wanted SS tronix but because of wait time and price, I went with OB1 rc in a Bluetooth setup. It is ok for trailer lighting, but very poor for the truck as far as I see it.
Reason being, in the truck, Ob1 uses the MFC power to power the lights. With power being limited to mfc output, the Bluetooth master in the truck loses its connection if you are pushing the mfc to its limit. I have 42 lights on the tractor, so the mfc-01 is still basically powering all the lights even though 15 are hooked up thru the OB1 unit.
As for the trailer, its not a problem cause it has a separate power supply. My SS tronix unit will be ready by Sept. lol
One thing on the Grand hauler as with the King, speaker placement if you want to use the interior will have to be between the fender well's up front. This means you have to make a smaller speaker box. No biggie.
I did manage to mount a smaller home made speaker box on the inside roof of the sleeper, milometers above the mfc, but decided against it because it blocks the only place I can see for the mfc unit to disperse heat...so, no interior till I find a suitable smaller speaker.
