Default Kansas Large Car

I have been looking at this forum for a long time and finally decided to build a truck for myself. I started this at the beginning of the summer. hope you like it.

Started with a Grand Hauler, moved the front axle ahead then repositioned the stock fenders. Alum. bumper and air cleaners looked better than stock.

While on vacation I painted the cab and rear fenders. I used DuPont Croma Base paint with 7500s Croma-clear.

I mounted PMD head lights and dropped the steps and air tanks down so I could mount lights below the door. I made the panels for below the cab and sleeper out of alum. angle with a bunch of PMD led's.

I mounted 22 led's in the bumper with 2 extra red ones on the back side to shine on the front tires.

Last thing so far is the 10 Radio Shack led's in the back of the sleeper. Still need to get the lights on the air cleaners and the head lights working then hopefully I will have as much fun playing with it as I have building it.

Thanks for looking, Mike

Thanks for all of the great comments.

I've been working on wiring until I'm about cross eyed!
I've got the cab lights, and the head lights done. Also one air cleaner, they are a real pain. I had to grind a spot for the wires and sand the lip off of the leds so it all would fit together.

Enjoy, Mike

are those head light from pmd? i thinking of getting a set
instead of the stock 379 lights. wireing the high/low and blinker
for both sides was rough enough

Yes that is where I got them. I used the lights that came with the mfu and glued the lenses in with clear silicon.

That's funny, I'm one of the Forklift Engineers at Landoll.

BTW, if you are interested, we usually do a day run down at Newton in April, would love to have some more trucks there.

I have pretty well got this wrapped up. Got the windows tinted, and had a friend at work shear some mirror stainless for the top of the frame. After I got it put together I entered it in a model show in Lincoln Ne. It took second right behind my brothers 1/25 pete. Could have been worse!

The last one is the 1/25 I lost to. I have been trying to talk him into getting one like I've got but not having much luck!
