I'm just dumbfounded by the level of detail and exactness of the parts you machine. I feel like a broken record because all I can keep saying is 'wow'! This is one of the neatest builds I have ever seen.

Excellent, so smooth and powerful
Great how all the functions fit together in the tight space

Will be interesting to see how the steering feel is, if the stick position is proportional to steering speed and not steering position?

I got the blade tilt cylinder done. That´s the last cylinder for now.
I have to abort the build process for a while, because we are moving to new a house. I must start to pack my machine shop to boxes, not to mention all the rest of the house...
Luckily I´m on my summer vacation

Hi guys, I´m finally able to get back to work with the grader after moving to a new house What a job that was it took a while to get my "machine shop" up and running.
First part I made was the front piece of the engine cover top.

Wow such an amazing build, would love to see some pics of your work place where you are creating this work of art. So when will you be mass producing the kits for these?

I got the engine compartment bigger top piece done. The piece is curved half of it´s lenght, and I was not sure how it´s going to bend cause it´s 5 mm thick.
I did mill grooves in the underside in the area that should curve to help it bend.
Then I band saw a wood block to the same curvature and place the aluminium piece between them. Next I put it to a hydraulic press and press the wood blocks together (plate between), but as I release the pressure the plate returned straight Then I decided to heat the aluminium plate hot and did the pressing again. I left it under pressure to cool down, and this time it did stay in correct shape

You don't need to make two dies. All you need is one. Take a piece of soft rubber or urethane (you can get different hardiness) Place the part on the rubber then ram the die. The rubber will conform to the die pressing the metal. This may take some practice on what hardness rubber but the end result will leave no marks on the aluminum piece. I have a long urethane die I use on my press brake that I bend painted aluminum sheet on and the die leaves no marks.
Here's a picture I found on the web of what I was describing.
