Default King Hauler Daycab on Volvo FH12 Chassis

Hello Guys,

I would like to show you my current project:

Those are some photos of my Tamiya Vovo FH12:

A normal, boring, European truck, as one very often sees it in model building meeting. But i wanted however a model which one see not so frequent. I like the American Trucks with its long hoods anyway most of all and thus was born my new project.

First I bought a King Hauler cab with all attachments:

The Servos I put lengthwise into the front of the chassis. The front axle was turned, so that the tie rod behind the axle is:

I used only the tanks and omitted the entrances, since the chassis is shorter of the Volvo than the chassis of the King Hauler:

The fifth wheel was moved also somewhat to the rear and sits now nearly over drive differenzial:

My problem: Where with the accumulator?

For a deep emphasis to reach I built the accumulator lengthwise into the chassis. I removed two tie bars from the chassis and fixes the accumulator with the safety device lever from the "old" accumulator box in the chassis:

Sorry for the bad image quality

The chassis got a cover from Diamond Plate:

The last Picture is´nt up-to-date. I shifted the Diamond Plate a litle to the rear, thus that the Diamond Plate directly in the T-bar turns into.

I have now also an idea for the airbrush topic of the truck:

The cab becomes black and the chassis remains red.

This one go on the backsite of the cab....

...for a big Representation klick on the picture

...and that on the hood:

Both pictures are adapted to each other from the style

At present i wait for my Airbrusher to do his paint job. He has many jobs to do at the moment and i meet him Saturday on the Intermodellbau in Dortmund.

So i have time to build some litle accesoires for the cabine:

Ok thats an american Truck and "Tchibo" is a german Company, but i think thats ok - Mc Donalds gives it also in "good old Germany" and i am a coffeejunkie

In addition I has trie to copy my good old "Lehnert HS-120" in 1:14,5 (and this with my very big Fingers )

The Original:

...and my "Big Fingers Copy"

On a shopping tour my wife found a litle dog and she means that this is a good "Shotgun". Ok i love my girl and so "Lucky" come on my "Shotgun Seat":

Thank´s Cowboy

I found a generator for "License Plates" (http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/) - their you can generate also older licenses - bring it into the correct size - print it - and cover it with clear (self adhesive) foil

....and here is the License for my Truck:

Wow, what a great looking project. Those mirrors especially! They look like perfect replicas of real truck's 1:1 mirrors.

The mirror holders are from "LKW Modellbau Berlin" (http://www.lkwmodellbauberlin.1a-shops.eu/)

That's a VERY nice truck! These trucks are just like the real ones, that you can change and customize parts. I'm ADDICTED to them! Great job!

Those mirror supports are the best I have seen so far, just another detail for me to add to the list.

Sorry Guys,

when i have post the link to "LKW Modellbau Berlin" i don´t think about the language of the site (it is in german) and that somebody can´t find the mirror holder there

So here is the direct link to the productsite:

http://www.1a-shops.eu/cgi-bin/shops...6&subid=154426

The holders for Wedico Scale are the second Product (from the top) - in Tamiya Scale are the third Product (from the top)

I hope they supply the products also overseas, but i don´t know.

And by the way - i don´t work at "LKW Modellbau Berlin" and also i don´t get money to link the hompage
