Look's really good. Did I see hook up's on the front of the trailer?
And the MAN look's good pulling the trailer.

Yes, Big John,
The hook ups are my own custom mods that I do for all my rigs. I use Miniatronic 4 pin connectors from internettrains.com

Great idea with the light hook ups, but they are backwards. Red should be on the driver side and blue on the pass.

petermoblin,

Really? I did not know that there is a standard for the air lines. Live and learn....

Thanks,

Tamiya may have cut some corners on the trailer but it sure looks good and you made it look great.

Thanks for the pictures on the build. From what I can tell it looks like a great kit. The only thing is trimming of the vacuum formed container parts looks like it could be a little bit of fiddly work, but I never enjoyed trimming the vacuum formed lexan bodies for my other RC trucks to much. The trailer frame and suspension looks well done. Not a bad looking model at all.

Has anybody seen this? It a time-lapse buildup of the 40' container trailer.

Wow, does that kit look labor intensive! How many hours did it take you to build?

Well, there are a lot of repetitive steps and some painting. I worked on it at a medium pace for about 8 days. (40-50 hours) The results were worth it.

Talking Re: Tamiya 40' Trailer buildup

i am building one now it is hard to cut the plastic ..with the price of the thing it would have been nice for tamiya to already have the plastic cut out.nice work it looks true to the real container/chassis
