Freddy's Frames

Hello Gent's.

I got a much needed package in the mail today. I got my set of frames from Freddy.

Now some might remember that I had got a set of rails from SemiJoe at JTS Custom Trucks when I first started this project. Well I was not pleased with the way the frame rails looked when I got them and then as I went on in the building I had to sand a lot of material off of the stock Tamiya tank holders that I had.

This caused me to measure the new rails an compare them to the stock rail. The results were most unpleasing.

I began looking for new frames when Freddy let it be known that he had a bunch of reject frames for sale. I got in touch with Freddy and ordered a #1 set of frame rails.

I got those rails today and love them already.

Let me first say that Fred was a pleasure to work with. With out going into irrelevant details, Fred really bent over backwards to get me exactly what I wanted.

Now on to the comparison of these frames.

These measurements don't sound like all that much but they are big when it comes to installing precision machined/cast parts like the RC Dampner crossmembers and tank holders that I am using.
