Each motor has 3 wires that will be going separately via the swivel all the way to the brushless regulator, one for each motor. So totally 6 wires through the swivel to the 2 regulators. Doesn't mater how these 3 wires are mixed, just change around 2 wires to get the motor running in opposite direction. Each regulator has a + & - wire, for the battery. Than the wires from the regulator to the receiver.
DON'T connect wrong +/- regulator cables on the to the battery => game over.

I had that system on mine, went back to the original. The upgrade I got was better suited for 7.2 volts , I was running my system on 12 (3s) hope you have better outcome than I did.

I can't say i follow. The slip ring has 3 red wires and 3 black. Do all the red wires go to one motor and all the black to another? Could you possibly provide a wiring diagram?
