Default Advice on strapping down a load.

Hey guys. I have taken the sides off of my box trailer while it is out to paint, and really like the look of it as a flatbed. I am considering using the trailer like this for a while to haul around 2 of my 1/16 International tractors. However I don't really know how to go about this. The bungee cords I found are small, but not small enough to look realistic, plus the length is not right, so I was wondering what some of you are doing to strap down stuff to the trailer. Any advice you could offer would be good and if you are able to maybe add a pic or 2 that would be awesome. thanks everyone.

EspeeFan and I have the same plans of hauling around 1/16 tractors but hopefully on custom drop deck trailers. I would use chains and binders from PMD.

chain and binders would be the most realistic for hauling tractors.

to be honest I think they look great, but I was thinking in simpler terms, such as some sort of homemade bungees, or another way to get the job done without spending too much keeping in mind that this is actually the box trailer and will at some time down the road be converted back.

Get yourself some 1/4 scale turnbuckles....they replicate screw type binders very well plus they are strong enough that you can snug down the Tamiya chain rather tight to hold your tractors. All u have to make are some S-hooks for the ends and you're all set!

Just Google '1/4 scale turnbuckles' to get your search started....Dubro is a very good brand that I've stuck with when making mine.
