Default Benz street sweeper. First test vids!

Have this here Benz I built acouple years ago.

Been useing it for snow blowing my walks.Well it's time to do something with it,like finish it. Don't need it for plowing anymore,so might as well make something out of her that my ole-lady will like.
First a new short frame.

Now bolt er back together.

Now these are the parts that will make me huge brownie points with momma. If it works right.

This is about where this baby is gunna sit.

You see where this is going?
Thanks for lookin!

Hmm this looks interesting, now to me if your saying this will make your wife happy, it seems like someone has thought of an ingenious way to run one's rc rig indoors and vacuum the floors at the same time

Could it be an R/C fan-truck to keep the lady of the house cool on those hot, dry, summer days in.....yeah, didn't FGD recently move to AZ? My girlfriends lil bro is over in Scottsdale for a few months, from what I hear it gets pretty hot over there!!

Regardless, those Old Golds seem to get through these projects!

Well Good job Crawler! Your not even close. But on heck of a good try!
Now Mike & Nathan nailed it! Now I don't know about the carpet thing yet,but you never know.
Brian, kinda like your stabb at it,just might have to put that on my favorite's list. Maybe use a small weed wacker engine. HMMM.
Swagger, those smokes are just like me,old & gold!
Thanks guys for the complements!
Well made some progress, not much but some.
First need something to pull the dirt off of the street.

Man this thing looks stupid at the back end.Sure hope the hopper makes it look better.

Now mount this killer vacuum.

Thanks for lookin!

Crawler,I've heard that before.
Made the manifold for the suction hose's to hook to. Have to slow the cfm down a bit before it gets to the hopper.

Now the exhaust for the blower.

& the hopper.

Thanks for lookin!

Holy crap! A street sweeper, now that is clever and original. You really do come up with some great ideas for projects, well done. I guess it goes without saying by now that is going to turn out extremely well.

Thanks Guys!
Brian,it better!
Scott,I thought you were a farmer type? & you don't pick the daily new rc parts orchard?? Dude! Your missin the boat! Every day people all over are setting a harvest of hard to get rc parts out by the road for you.
All's you gotta do is have the onions to beat the garbage men to the harvest! Now don't be Ascard,it's worth it!
So since I've started this build,it's been buggin me how in the world am I going to seal the hopper to truck. Guess I don't need to worry about that. This is with no seal at all!

My Grandma's 1952 hoover top-o-the-line,doesn't stand a chance against this baby!

Now ain't that just beautiful?
Thanks for lookin!
