Default hyster containerstacker

the story behind the containerstacker.
I bought the forklift that was the base of my stacker on the internt looking like this.

as you can see it's already branded Hyster.
the truck was not based on any kit. just fabricated with any parts forhand.
after taking the plywood top off this was left

the rearwheels steered nice and it was looking to have a good tight turning circle. but it didn't turn at all.
the thing that looks like diff. was just an angled gear. and with the weight on the front it just went staight forward.
the forklift was supposed to carry the "bruder" containers to the stack or the truck. nothing fancy.
also the idea was to keep the original plywood top.
noting goes as planned. so this build didn't either.
the front axle was replaced with the rearaxcle out of an tamiya madbull.
to slow it down the standard motor was replaced with a slower turning one.
and the wheels where turned around to get the forklift narrower than de bruder container long.

somwhere came the idea to shorten it up a little. and with that to replace the body.
looking around the internet I found a Hyster truck that fitted the lengte and width of my models chassis.
the one thing was. it stacked 7+1 containers high. the mast that came with the model just reached 2.

The mast is not an exact model of the hyster, the hyster mast is in 2 parts, my mast is in 3 parts, to keep the transporthight of the model within reason
and offcorse the body isn't an exact replica. due to the wheels.
after some plywood work of my own it started to look likt this

and with the mast on.

the mast is now the focus of attention. it doen't slide like it's suppossed to.
it reaches the nessesery height. the bottom of the container is over 1.2meter. and it can lift 2 containers at one time
and a small problem with te tyre's they are hollow. and with a container lifted they deflate so the base of the mast hits the ground and driving is not possible.
maybe blocking the deflate hole is enough.

if there are new report about the container stacker I will post it here

grz Peter

so there is some work to do.
