Sounds like you're probably already settled on a route for the charge port on your dozer, but I use those DC jacks/connectors that you linked to from ebay on my builds and I really like them. They're compact and easy to wire. With cheaper ones, you do have to be a little careful when soldering on the wires or they'll melt, but not a big deal.

They're easy enough to install somewhere so they blend in. On the dozer, I put it in the air cleaner (I believe it's the air cleaner, anyway).

Yes, I reluctantly settled on those, when I COULDN'T in a timely manner get the one I was trying to get. I LOVE THE IDEA for hiding it in there like you did!

Thanks for the comlpiments, but ALL the credit is due Stein for open sourcing his build STL (the file type that the 3D printer reads) files! I've taken his ideas, & added my own twist/spin/optional parts etc., to it to make it my own.
