Default RSME ( Reading Society of Model Engineers)

The stars finally aligned they had an open house on a Saturday just when I happen to be in the area getting material

15" gage

at the engine house getting fired up


GP7 high nose built in the early 50's



7.25"/7.5" (1:8 scale)

4-8-4? gas burner



GP? (I didn't ask ) gas/hydraulic driven



4.75" (1" (1:12 scale) only 1 there RS3

Hey Steve, we have a group of those guys down here and they have taken our county park and put tracks in all over the park. They meet 2 times a year and invite the public to check them out and of course take rides This year the kids took a field trip out there and they had a blast. Pam also mentioned that one of the older fellas was a bit grumpy and couldn't understand why he was even there if he was not enjoying his hobby. But who knows what was not going so well .

I expected some grumpy old guys but got completely the opposite . I mention the RC's and the 1 guy asked if i was at cabin fever . yep , showed him a pic of the 990 .

I'm thinking about it real hard about getting 1 or building 1 soon Just wife and i found something we can't agree on she wants 15" (1:4 scale ) I want close to our truck scale 4.75" (1:12 scale )

Yea I think it would be kool to have some in or scale and have them coin work around a setup along with the trucks
