Default Resin Casting?

Does anybody here Resin cast parts for themselves? How hard is it to do and how expensive is it to start? I only need a couple of parts done but thought it would be neat if I could do it myself.

Thanks.

casting in resin is actually easy. i do some parts in resin myself.
just make one part as your original take a mold, then start casting.
i thought it was hard until at a local model show there was a casting demo
where we were shown how to and also given a starter kit to have a go with.
http://www.kirkside.com.au/ is our local supplier here in western australia.

I have been resin casting for a few years. I use the Micromark system. Single part molds are very easy. 2 part molds a bit more tedious.

I use silicone spray rather than mold release, much cheaper. You will have no problem. There is a web site that shows step by step instructions. Google 'resin casting'. This is a walk in the park. Good luck.
