Default Re: Custom build of a Kenworth C509 as autralian roadtrain

Hi All,

after the last project "Black Devil" and Trailer is finished, I stepped over to the roadtrain again.

First I had a review of the work done so far and I got a shock, because the year on the sideboard wasn't good for the styrene. The front was distorted, the mud wings were no longer in shape.

So I decided to renew the mud wings. Last time I formed them using a bowl. The result were mud wings that are not really in the right angle.

OK, let's start, take the cutter and cut them off...

To make them new I needed a cylinder with the correct radius. So I took a paper roll and wrapped wall paper around it until it had the correct radius.

Next step was to form a styrene plate around it...

The front of the haule got another layer of styrene to make it more stable.

The roll of styrene is cut and sanded, the front is OK now...
