NICE!!!!!!! I agree with Tracy, stuff painting the rails. With the white and blue paint the truck needs the added chrome or metal look to it. I know that the real truck has a painted frame but this is yours to make little improvements on. Polish the frame to match the tanks and bumpers but no paint.

Well, I was going to paint them the same blue as the top or the pearl white that I used. I am a truck driver and I've been to a lot of truck shows. I just don't think my OCD will let me get away with not painting them and the suspension components. LOL!

I agree with you, I prefer the blue frame with this paint scheme. Tearing back apart to paint it will go faster than you think.

When you paint the suspension parts, just remember that they do move. I have seen lots of nice paint jobs ruined by flaking paint around bolts and other movable parts. Are you going to paint the trailer to match?

Ok, so what I'm thinking is painting the rails pearl white to match the cab along with the differentials. Then, sense the front fenders are blue, I figure the rear fenders should be too. And I think I'm going to fill the space between the rails with stainless steel. I'm not sure about the trailer yet but most likely I will match it to the truck somehow. I will most defiantly be careful about what I paint because of the moving parts! Thank you for the warning!

Seriously guys, thank you all for the compliments! I'm really enjoying this build! I showed it off to a few people today that are not into RCs and they were just amazed. It's a really good feeling to get that kind of reaction from people! It makes all of the hours of hard work worth every second!

Looking good Jesse! There is a section on the board and a thread for showing off your workshop/work bench, you ought to post some pictures of yours since this is your first build and a very nice one some of the people on here who haven't seen your workshop might get a kick out of it
