Default tractor for little girl

posted this on another site but same info .....

i am going to make a side project for the niece she is 14 and love to drive the trucks. but now since i kind of moved on to constuction she just watches looking sad. so im thinking of making a quick tractor so she can play when im out at the park with the nephew and her.

this is what im thinking.
http://www.ruralking.com/bruder-cate...tor-02444.html

so im thinking four servos a bec (witch i got) and a small 7.4v lipo and a 4 receiver for my 9x .

the question is what servos to use? im really bad at picking servos. the ones im using on my excavator are a little to week. i want something cheap easy quick and strong. this is for a little girl. im going to let her paint it and such (i so hope not pink) any help thanks guys

Thumbs up Re: tractor for little girl

I personally use the Futaba 3003 & 3004's I'm certain that there are stonger servo's available, so you should wait for a more informed response from another member

You can always search the site for an answer on your own

Good Luck

I am converting a Bruder 574 using 4 Hitec HS-5646WP HV for the wheels. These are waterproof and takes 2S Lipo unregulated. Lots of power, ok speed, no need for BEC if you run a RX that can takes unregulated 2S (Futaba FASST for example).

Edit: And they are very easy to convert to continuous running.

Cosworth, You just cost me $75.00. I have been succesfully refusing the temptation to buy any of these bruders to convert for the last year, but once you put the link up to the Rural King store with their great prices I went on and jumped in head first. I stopped in today and purchased the D-4 dozer, the skid steer, and the excavator. Now I have offically entered this hobby. How am I going to tell my wife that I am now doing this as well as my airplanes. I am not sure weather to thank you or cuss you.

What servos did you end up using, and how does it handle? I am converting a Bruder wheel loader using the HV Hitec servos, but find them to slow and hard to program for propper turning circle. Power is fine, but the rest is just driving me crazy.

Would be fun seeing a quick videoclip of it running

well i used three hobby partz servo's solar 101,and two 109. it dose creep but my excavtor creeps i think servos converted to 180 tend to do that. it is slow but its a dozer so the speed dosen't bother me to much. i'm going to up grade to hitec servos to but for now my project budget is tapped

oh i'll try to get a vid soon my cam is acting

That was a very fast and clean build. It'll be neat to see the video of it working.

both the servo for the rblade is on its side . andthe servo horn is just under the the ram left side. it hides really well so the look of the hole tractor is clean

Do you have better pics of the mounting system you used for the blade servo?
