Well if you tell us what truck are you planning on building we can help you better,2x4,4x4 6x4, 6x6, 8x4, 8x8 9x9 ........( just kidding about the 9x9 ) . I like the 8x8 if I ever get one (which I won't) in that case here is what I would pick for 8x8
http://scaleart-shop.de/en/Functiona...ipper-TGS.html
for 6x6
http://scaleart-shop.de/en/Functiona...way-tippe.html

Good luck

con·tra·dic·tion
ˌkäntrəˈdikSHən
noun
1. a combination of statements, ideas, or features of a situation that are opposed to one another.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You stated money isn't a problem. Then you say it's too costly. Then you litter the forum with another thread about the same exact topic with no information in that either.

So you're 15 and looking at Scale Art Models.......I'll skip the obvious and go to these points:
A: Not even a handful of guys on this board have built a ScaleArt truck.
B: Not even a handful of guys on this board can justify the cost of a ScaleArt truck.
C: Just about every member of this forum has studied the ScaleArt site and picked exactly what they would build if money wasn't an obstacle.

Regardless, you still haven't given details on what you want to build. You're asking for help but you clearly haven't done enough research on your side.

Regardless of the above valid points the SA site has the drive train packages... Pick which ever is required for the truck you are making... Ie.
6*6, 6*4, 4*2, 4*4 etc...

If it is only to understand total cost then that will give you the background.

If you are ready to purchase, I suggest emailing or calling SA... They will be very willing to assist.

Cheers,
AP

My advice is to wait until you have your money, being a kid and still at school its going to take you a while to get all the bits you need by which time the parts you need may now not be available, or you change your mind.
Save money and buy the truck in one go, you said via pm you want a truck before your 20 that gives you 4 or 5 years

Why are you so set on a ScaleArt truck?? I started off building a Tamiya King Hauler when I was 16, and have customized it into my own. They are reasonably priced and you can customize things how you want them. I don't know your background or anything, but I think for such a young builder it would be in your best interest to start off with something much more straight forward. That's just my advice, maybe look into a ScaleArt once you have multiple truck builds under your belt and have a nice working knowledge of these things. Just my 2 cents.

I agree, go with a tamiya and work your way up to wedico or scaleart. The parts to customize tamiya trucks are so readily available and affordable. There are custom parts out there for wedico as well but not as much as tamiya in my opinion. Good luck on what ever build you decide to go with. And post pics.
