Yeah I didn't understand the change either. But then again looking at my king manual it doesn't tell you to glue them in either. So my only thought is they are worried about people getting glue on a ball bearing causing it not to roll which would jam everything.

I am real careful with super glue. But if the bearings fit snug, I won't worry about gluing them in place.
