Default Southern Cross - WCRCT

Well, the West Coast Remote Control Truck Club is off to do another show (about the 7th or 8th one we have done this year!).

This time it is in Southern Cross (about 4.5 hours from Perth Western Austalia) for the Yilgarn Agricultural Show.
We were invited to this show after they saw what we can do in putting on displays, can't remember which show we
were doing when we were invited to
attend this one ...... been so many and I think old age is kicking in!

However, should be a lot of fun.
We are travelling to Southern Cross on the Friday night of the 31st August and the show is on the Saturday 1st September.

Would like to thank the organisers, especially Cheryl, for the what they have done for us including providing accomadation
in the motel for all 12 of us for both the Friday and Saturday night which is probably a good thing as the bar will be open
till late on Saturday night after the fireworks display.

As I have said many times before you just can't beat country people and their hospitality which is why our club is only TOO PLEASED
to travel around the state putting on shows and generally have a wonderful time.

Don't know why we did not start doing this sort of thing a long time ago!

Will post pictures and details for all to see after the show.

If you want to check it out have a look at this link:

Time for some more pictures!

I think my van was a bit loaded:

Start with the street parade ones:

And now a short video of the parade:

We had a Knight Hauler Truck that was raffled off, it was ready to go.
Supplied with 2.4GHZ Radio, Speed Controller, 6800maH NimH Battery, Charger and batteries for the receiver. Ticket sales went through the roof!

Will Post some more later .....

Well, as I found out there was only a few more photos to show.....
Too much fun driving and enjoying ourselves and our time with the public to get more photographs done. Keep this up and we may need to employ a photographer!

May not look like much is happening but these photographs were actually taken before the show opened and as you can see the weatherman really turned it on for us. 22-23 degrees and clear skies all day.

What more could you ask for, we have a good team with a 99% membership turnout to all our shows both metro and country. We all get on perfectly no animosity, jealousy or my gear is better than yours mentality and the best part of all is the wonderful people we meet at these shows and how well we get praised for our quality and the warmth and proffesional way we present ourselves. It is sad that it took us leaving the other club for us to shine, just think what kind of shows could have been put on for the public if they had been interested in doing what we do. Oh well, you never know. Maybe shortsightedness is not a permanent affliction?

Sorry I digress, this is about our show not what could have been ..... back to the photographs!

If you want to know more about what we did, feel free to visit our website at http://www.bigrigswa.com
You will find the links to the Yilgarn Agricultural Show (and all the others we have done) under the Gallery Menu Item.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look.

Looks like a really fun time.
I especially liked the photos of your club walking the trucks down the road with what looks like a "no trucks" sign in the background. hehe.
