I know it is a clusterf#*k with tangents going off in every direction. But I only post and reply from phone (most of the time). Hopefully you may have picked up some knowledge from all the comments and at least I would think you got a chuckle or two along the way .

Yes, much knowledge has been acquired. Even had a few laughs along the way too.

I've a Fry's credit card. Currently I've NOTHING on credit. EVERYTHING was paid off 2 months ago. Time to get something, to maintain an active credit rating. So, with that being said................I'm thinking of acquiring a 3D printer. Does this one look like a respectable option?

Now the hardest part begins, learning to communicate with the d@m thing, to make it produce what I want it to.

Sorry if this is a hijack of YOUR thread. I respect your opinion of equipment, as well as those that have offered their advice in this thread too. Since I know NOTHING about these fancy printer things..............YET, I figured I'd inquire your opinion(s).

Other then the OBVIOUS extra filament(s) are there any other extra parts/accessories that I should consider acquiring while I'm picking it up a the store?

Skeeter, I'm by far from knowledgable about printers, mine is old by today standards. And they don't make the same model. But one thing I know is the acetone bath is acetone vapor not actual bathing or submersing in acetone. I'm sure finer resolution is with newer printers. Again I would love to help but I wasn't and really still am not too knowledgable of printers. Quite honestly, I still fight with computer quite often, sometime think a hammer would be better !!!! Lol!!!

Well.......it's official, I own it. The 3D printer that is. Got it almost all the way set up. Printer is calibrated, have to calibrate the scanner once its finished printing the test piece. Coop, a great big THANK-YOU, fir inspiring me to get one of these printers!

RW, about how much print time should one expect from the SMALL rolls of filament? I've got about 4 hours on the small roll that came with my printer, & it's still going. I'm just curious, so I know about if/when to AVOID trying to print LARGE parts overnight while sleeping. I'd hate to have it run out in the middle of a project, & me awake thinking it would be all done when I awoke, & find it partially done. That, & I think it'd be hard on the extruder, & print bed to be kept at temp all night long, while not doing anything.

RW, here's what you need for building the saw you mention to cut the trees & such underneath you deck.

For the small rolls (I forgot how big they are, came with the printer) the answer is around 30 hours of print time.

Started on the front axle, not perfectly 1:1 because of differential I'm using but enough for eye to see major details.
