Default Tow Cables

Been watching German RC show Utube's and saw several times they used small diameter braided cable with eye loops to tow out a stuck truck.
The cable is like garage door opener cable, but at a smaller diameter.

Anyone know where to find this cable and eye loops around here?
Thanks!

For cable, get it at the hardware store, stuff for hanging pictures.

RC4WD also sells several types of hooks and clevises, you can also find cables with hooks or shackles on eBay.

I have though of making some slings from braided steel leader material (steel braided fishing line). You can get the barrel crimps as well and they should look fairly scale. I have some 100lb test leader wire in my tackle box that is quite stiff but I think a 20lb would be much better.

Thanks for all the ideas, guys!
I'm leery of using hooks on these trucks to pull them out of a stuck situation - probably yank a plastic bumper or fender right off the truck!
On those German vids most trucks had front and rear tow/pintle hitches, and used them for heavy rescues. Just pin the cable eye into the hitch and tow away...

You could look at some of the 1/16 tow cables/hooks we use on our tanks as well.
