Hi Stu, truck looks great, what RPM is the geared motor that you installed? I have one for a different application and thought about using it in a truck.

That's a lot of wheels for such a short truck!!! Nice and simple underneath though and I like it!

Another motor question... Where did you source it from and how much did it cost if you don't mind me asking.

Nice! For some reason I have a thing for 4 axle trucks. This is one of the more unique configurations for sure. Awesome.

Thanks guy's

The motor is 450 rpm@12 volts, its a Servonaut GM32U450

Not the cheapest I'm sure but so smooth and quiet and all the German builders seem to use them so must be good!

Thanks for the info Stuart, it looks just like the geared motors from Servo City.

No worries, agreed they look the same but looking at the specs they're not, the Servonaut one has more power and torque, I looked at mfa motors too but in the end went with the Servonaut one as like I said its been proven in all the German trucks you see running around.

Hi Stu, a nice clean build and an interesting colour choice for the Actros! Love it.

Where did you get the trailer? Looks the business.

Thankyou, yes it is a Carson Goldhofer, it will be receiving some mods soon.

It was going to be white but in the end wanted something different so had my local car repair shop mix the gold for me, was my first time spraying a water based paint system but happy with the outcome.

Still un-decided on whether to paint the rear fenders gold and the wheels black, any sugestions???

Hi Stu, thanks for confirming on the trailer.

As for paint ... why not do rear fender same colour as the chassis rails?

Wheels black ... might be a tad too much black. Did a quick photoshop of it so you get an idea what it would look like. (I just copied and sized the black front rim so perspective might be a tad weird)

Thanks for doing that Stephan, certainly gives an idea of what it might look like.
Although I was thinking of gloss black for the chassis and wheels and then gold for the fenders with maybe gold hubs on the wheels, is that something you could photoshop up??

In the meantime a little progress:

Will see what I can do, but my super duper computer with tablet etc. is history and the powerbook with trackpad is a poor substitute ...

Nice job on the cabin interior!
