Got a load of deliveries today!
Theres just something special about getting a nice big box with Tamiya written on it. I've had plenty of different brands of RC cars, but no-one takes quite as much pride in their boxing as Tamiya.

Also got an extra axke and tyres from Joe (wheels leftover from my OP build), plus extra shocks and 55T motor. Also ali suspension arms, chassis braces, tank mounts etc.
Also have a Tamiya roof spoiler to add to it.

Just waiting on chassis rails to arrive and can start construction.

Alrighty, chassis rails came in, so got drilling, and have the rolling chassis done!
I swapped the shock bodies from a trailer to get silver ones for the rear. Didnt bother with the front as you wont see them under the body. Still have the black plastic rear suspension arms on the 3rd axle, but have some silver ali ones on the way.
I have a blank bumper from Russ, and one of his polished 5th wheel plates yet to fit. Plus of course build the gearbox, add servos, tanks, steps etc.

I havent trimmed the rear of the chassis rails yet. Waiting on a rear light plate and mudflap mounts from gardentrucking.

lol at the front of this thread you asked which one of the four should you copy
and I was just wondering why copy it has nothing to do with your skills [which are wonderful,or your past trucks ] or the third axle
was just posting about the first four or five posts and it put my post at the back

OK, i'm with you now. You sounded like you were saying i'd copied someone elses build.
Those 4 trucks are inspiration only, i'm not actually copying it.

Copying a real truck is more work than building your own design anyway.

I just kinda liked the red on white look of the one i'm doing.

Productive weekend!
Stripped it down and drilled the various holes in the tops of the frame for fuel tank mounts, gearbox etc, and got all that fixxed. Also flipped the 3rd axle which i had back to front.

Added the 5th wheel on a nice shiny ali plate from Russ. Still have a bumper, and headache rack to fit, and may look at adding some sort of toolbox under it.

The body is coming along. Some final sanding, a little bit of trim on the front fenders, and its ready for paint!

Its not been forgotten, just havent done much on it for a while. Its pretty much exactly the same as it was in the most recent pics above, with the exception of the wheels.

I suppose I should really finish this one before working on my M1070. Of course I still need to finish my trailer for Optimus too!

Have added a load of Integy ali wheels, these:

Well this one is kind of a "spare parts" build with leftovers, so doesnt have top priority.
