Great detail and workmanship. Would like to see the your CNC setup. Would you post a picture of the machine running one of the next parts for your grader?

Thanks.

Yes indeed this is a very nice build. I have a soft spot for road graders. I own 4 antique Caterpillar graders built in the 1930's.

At a loss for words...

I've been dreaming of one of these in 14th scale for yrs!

I hope you are saving all your G code to make more than one?

How much time has past to get to this point in the build?

What rpm gear motors on the rear drives?

Thumbs up Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader

Ari - welcome --- where have you been hiding??

Your machining skills are great....I like the front axel set up... And the multi point backers are sweet.....

Are you scaling this all from photos and measurements? Or are you engineering and using the 1:1 for inspiration---- either way it's up there with a few of the the greats........

Chris

All G-codes are saved, but I might do many parts differently if I ever build another one.

I haven´t kept any records of how much time have I use, but I would estimate something about 300 to 400 hours

The motors are RB 35 with 1:100 gear boxes.

For measurments I´m using Norscot 1:50 14M diecast model witch I hope is accurate enought, and also I have some 14M brochures witch have some measurments. I also have many photos of it.
Sadly I havent been able to take any photos of it myself.
I wish have one in my yard witch I could take measurments and maybe do some road work also...

Wow. I'm at a loss for words! I wish I had half the talent you do in your little pink alone! Your machine work looks incredible! The front axle is a work of art. Amazing. This will be one build to keep an eye on for sure. 5 star thread!
