the original awd parts
was it a tamiya F-150 front axle?
i'm working on an awd here and don't want to use the F150 axle because its too wide

No the original front axle was a TLT axle which is not bad but it could be a bit narrower. The best option out right now are the Integy axles but you have to use their rears as well since the gear ratio is different than the Tamiya axles. Here is a link to a thread where I used the Integy axles.

i'm working on my truck slowly
