Default Tamiya leds in PMD double squares, How!?

Just wondering how you guys managed to fit the leds from the mfu kit into the PMD peterbilt double square headlights? Just looking at it has me scratching my head.

Do you have a milling machine or at the very least a Dremel and a vise? I had to mill mine out for my Bud truck. Kind of a tricky job without marring the polished surfaces. 1/8" endmill and a very slow and steady hand on the hand wheels did the job. I don't really want to try with a Dremel but it could be done with a carbide burr and a vise.
Hope this helps!

Lynn

With some coaching from Rod (stepside) i did mine by drilling them out until the bulbs fit. Now, I used the 3mm bulbs not the 5mm. the 5's would be impossible.
good luck !

I know I'm digging up an ancient topic but I finally fitted the leds in my pmd double squares Friday night. Brian, thanks man, I did just as you said and it worked perfectly! I'm really happy!
