Things are just resting on each other. So just some idea if what this is going to look like. A lot more to do, two more conveyors to make. A lot of shrouds and covers. The big hopper to dump into, and I would like to have some sort of vibrating hopper to help with sticky materials.

Decided to switch to aluminum.

Ballistic nylon coated material that I may use for belting, way more flexiable to conform to the shape of the rollers

Thanks, after getting into this build I decided to go full on and try and make it look and function well. Also have to get my aluminum welding skills some experience. (Not too good at that).

I got the legs for discharge fines conveyor that also will support the hopper and input conveyor.

Yes, well that is the plan . I'm in the process of building the hopper that trucks can dump into. That short top conveyor will feed into the rotating trommel. I forget the mesh size but what doesn't pass through will get another ride on another separate conveyor that will be detached and positional about 320 degrees. The material that gets sifted through will get a ride along long conveyor passing underneath trommel screen heading to yet another conveyor to the pile or wherever. Have to make the hopper and containment covers yet.

We've got those here in Washington State. The BIG boys use them in their operations. A concrete plant uses one to highpile the aggregates used in the production plant. Theirs is super smart! It not only pivots in the radius, it ALSO self adjusts to length of the conveyer, as well as the angle of the belt.

Another plant, an asphalt recycle plant uses it in their operations to neatly pile the reclaimed material.

I still have to make covers for miter gears, mount for vibratory motor on hopper, and controller wire harness and controls. And then I’ll find out what hidden problems will need addressing. And then possibly know if it will work����

Oh and the concept for this is to have a flat elevated dumping area about a 1/2” below hopper side. Trucks will back right up to hopper and dump full load. The haul truck I built will be able to back up and dump full load as well. But it may need to dump slowly depending on how well the amount of material can be processed. Loafers and excavators probably will not be able to keep up fast enough. At least that’s the target concept. ��

One more part, using 1/8” material for this. When I welded everything together I had some slight distortion on the screen roller. Had to cut the support rails to release the strain. I needed to make a shield at end anyway so make it out of 1/8” material instead or .063”. Taped down part for cutting. Will weld the two pieces together as that was what I had on hand.

That's looking like a severe workhorse. What material are you using for the belt material. Had did you connect the ends of the belts together? I'm working on a much smaller version of this. Mine shall be fed by an excavator. I'm thinking the hoe feeds the grizzly, & what passes through the grizzly then goes through the screen plant. Mine is still in the drawing phases. I'm working on it with a friend that has the ability to machine the custom parts necessary to make it a reality.

I just watched an episode of gold rush (or something like that) and a guy had a trommel named dirt Reynolds,,, so I found a good name. “Joe dirt”

Skeeter, I am using an urethane rubber for the belt. I’ll see if I can get you part number from McMaster. It is specific for conveyors. I could get it in 4” width and x length. As far as lacing the belt, my old sewing machine. Nylon thread. But it can be heat welded. I’ve tested that but I don’t have a heat welder just heat gun and my test pieces got abit warped. It works well just need to make some heated pliers or torch clamps. It’s not know how the longevity of the belt material will hold up. On the discharge conver of the fine material I think no problem. On the input conveyor in the hopper I need to find out. That’s where rocks/sharps will be present. If not good there I’ll just use a straight roller system and other material. Reason I choose this material was overall thickness that will allow the belting to conform to “u” shaped roller assemblies

The end wanted to lift some , probably due to inconsistency of abs pipe I used for tube. Not being perfectly round enabled it to track a bit odd, so I made another clamp roller to keep it in-line. Always hidden issues.





This adds rigidity to the roller beam but allows a little side wobble to keep tune in rollers.

And cut some vinyl decals for the name
