Reg have you ever considered building lowboys, drop decks, trombones or any kind of equipment hauling trailer?

Color me stupid but other than a musical instrument, what is a trombone?lol

I did buy some smaller tires recently from MPE with the thoughts of making a couple of tag trailers for behind the dump trucks. As far as the other stuff goes, I am willing to try to build just about anything as long as I can make a little bit of money doing it.

A Trombone trailer is a heavy, extendable, step deck trailer. Often used by crane and rigging outfits to haul crane booms and crane components. The rear section usually look like a lowboy and the rest of it looks like a drop deck trailer.

I'm sure you could pull something cool off and I could even forfeit the extendable feature.

Making it extend is no big deal. Someone open up their wallet and I'll get right to it!

I don't see why not. It'd just be a screwdrive or actuator.

You were working on a tri-axle end dump you planned on donating to my favorite charity. Remember?

**** I'd love a lowboy all aluminum. Tandem axle is fine too. I like the LX40 or the LXN40.

Have a lot of pictures too for reference. How deep would I have to open my wallet Reg?

Reg,

I desperately want a scissor neck tri lo-boy with a live roll on the back and a center roll for oilfield hauling. It would need to have a 3 position folding neck so it would have 2 different coupling heights as well as being able to pin it straight. much like the red one in the first pic, except it doesn't need to trombone

This is a 3 position scissor neck. i think i could get manufacture blueprints for the neck pieces. I built one years ago ina static 1/24 scale out of plastic. I need an aluminum one
