Default New Guy From Vermont

New to the forum, and new to the hobby. After seeing some videos from this past winter's Cabin Fever, I started following one of the scale trucking groups on Facebook. Recently I've been looking into building a truck myself, and have sort of fallen in love with the Tamiya King Hauler.

Unfortunately, I can't afford the full kit at the moment, so I've decided to Johnny Cash it and buy one piece at a time. This'll take longer to build, but fits with my cash flow.

Looking forward to learning more!

Welcome, belatedly, to the forum! Yes, initial cost of things can be an issue, but look for used stuff. Might even find a truck that is partially built or someone dropping out of the hobby, so just check the sale heading on here, other truck forums, Ebay, etc. Never know when a great buy might show up.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been very slowly collecting parts. My next purchase will be rails, so it should start looking like a frame soon, as opposed to a box of random stuff.

Negative driver, it's not a King Hauler.
This here is a genuine 'Psychobilly Kingscania Volvoknight Aerocadia Hauler'

Good luck, it'll be cool watching it come together

Just be sure it has one headlight on one side and two on the other side!

Or, you could do a conversion instead? I have a lot of fun bashing a Nylint or Tonka into a working RC.
