Stock Tamiya trans can be modified with a longer shaft to make it AWD. Got mine from Semi Joe a couple of years ago. I used a RC4WD reduction unit between it and the motor. Works great.

Just asked Him about those a couple days ago, He told me He had 150 made, all sold out and not making anymore.
