Default 2.4 gHz Radio Info needed

Since the 2.4 non-glitch systems are the way to go in radios, we need some definitive info posted on these systems.
For instance;

I've read that Spektrum 6100 series receivers will NOT work with Tamiya MFU's.
Which Spektrum receivers WILL work with the MFU's? AR6200 series? AR8000 series?

I've also read that while you program the MFU, if you DON'T move the TX sticks full throw, say about 80%, then it'll trick the MFU to work when you DO give full throw to the sticks. Does this work? Work on the 6100 series RX's?

How about Futaba 2.4 radio systems?
They seem to have 2 types on the market - the older FHSS system, and the newest FASST system.
Will either of these systems run the Tamiya MFU?

If any one can add their experience on any of these radio systems running Tamiya MFU equipped trucks, it'll help future radio buyers to make a choice.

I use a AR8000 and a JR921 receiver with Tamiya's MFU. No issues, everything works.

Just to add -

I have tried Futaba's Attack 4 channel AM and 2.4ghz radios, and have come up with issues (some of the MFU's functions won't work properly).

Walkera's 2.4 PRO system will work. Problem with it is that it is not a mainstream radio.

The 2.4's i am using are the Airtronics. The rds8000 and the 10g, both work with the MFU w/o issues. I have not used any other radio. also the 10g has servo slow-down option.

Anyone using Futaba FASST radios with MFU's?

I understand that Spektrum AR6100B will run the MFU... is this true?

Thanks Travis!
I've got a first generation Spektrum DX6 with 2- AR6000 receivers - will these receivers run a MFU?
or should I just save them for NON-MFU built trucks?

I just found out that the first generation DX6 and it's receiver the AR6000 with DSM technology is NOT compatible with later generation Specktrum radios with DSM2 technology... bummer - built in obsolescence...

Jim spectrum is offering a trade in program for the older DX6 and the newer DX6I is dsm2 and will work with dsm and dsm2 recivers. As for your question you can do it with 2 recivers but it has to be an AR6000 and a BR6000 with two leads to one and the other two to the other. so you are better of upgrading to the DX6I and getting an AR6100B.
