Default ESC reverse issue

SInce I'm a n00b in all RC stuff, normally, I've hit my first obstacle. I bought som ealiexpress ESC's that work for me, but they have brake/reverse. Now, when I put 2 esc's on corresponding track motors, i get full speed ahead, but when I pull the stick back, nothing happens. I have to leave the stick in center position, again pull it back, and then motors start spinning in reverse. I see the problem with high speed motors and gear stripping issues, but, on a dozer that stops the same instant the stick hits center.. seems a bit redundant. Is there a a way to disable that? the ESC has 2 jumpers (LiPo/NimH) and reverse (on/off)

. I was presuming that the reverse jumper disables and enables the ESC to work in both directions, but after changing the jumper postition to reverse "off" nothing changed. Works the same as it worked in "On" position....

What am I missing?

esc in question:

P.S.

what about those ESC switches? It seems a bit odd to have to open the model every time to turn the ESC on or off.. Or do I leave them on (permanent connection) and just power the toy with the battery in or battery out?

Can you post a model number, link to the esc, or as much as you know about it?

Maybe this one?

I first thought it might be in the jumpers, but it doesn't look like that one can do what you want. Looks like just
battery volt cutoff... put in Lipo.
Forward, brake, reverse / or reverse lockout ... you're stuck with brake and low power reverse

The esc switch on the pigtail should be the on/off for your BEC. Make sure you pull the red wire out of one of the RX plugs on one esc, then ignore that ones switch. On the other, extend the switch wires so you can mount it somewhere accessable to turn model on/off.

I'd try to find an esc that can handle bigger than the size motor you're spinning, with equal amps fwd/rev, no brake. Either a large bec or maybe an external one.

yeah, that's the one. I've pulled the wire out, but If I don't flip the switch, there's no sound or LED indication the ESC is on.

I bought these ESC's because they are cheap. When I get the hang of this stuff, I'll probably buy a better one...

and as I said.. there's no reverse lockout. I've placed the jumper in "reverse off". It works the same as in "reverse on".

If you leave the esc with the red pulled switched on all the time, and use on/off switch on the one supplying bec; they should both get power when battery connected, and when flip the switch to arm RX it should give the on sounds and lights on both.

I dunno about the reverse then, it's made of chinesieum? Jumper next to heatsink

What size motors are you using? Or even better, what's their stall amp draw?

3 amps, 3 ch, reverse, should do the mixing?

They are small 370 motors. Not sure will they be able to move the dozer. Working load is 180mA. So heng long controllers should be sufficient. The problem is that I have bought 4 ESC's. Made of chinesium, as you say. If they show to be unusable, I'll order the board..
