Re: Wedico Loader with Bucket Teeth
Mitch,
I mounted my teeth on the upper side. I thought that way you should be able to skim the ground and get a relatively flat surface... Have you used them in anger? Interested to hear your thoughts... Cheers, Andrew P. |

Re: Wedico Loader with Bucket Teeth
Thanks for the replies and kind words. This loader has undergone many mods. From the electronics (ServoNaut) to the fasteners which are mostly from the aviation industry. To mount the teeth in the opposite fashion, seemed to be a great deal more work in order to make them flush. So, I chose the easy way out. It works great with all the servonaut and a LiPo battery. It has a BMA,SMT and SMX with a pico switch light relay for the beacon. In addition, I reworked the transmission (adding grub screws to the gears) to increase the reliability.

Re: Wedico Loader with Bucket Teeth
Hey I love the teeth the only thing I noticed is the teeth seem to be inverted they should be mounted inside the bucket as opposed to underneath

Re: Wedico Loader with Bucket Teeth
Found the Bucket Teeth on the PREMACON website. Also, I purposely installed the teeth in reverse to experiment with the "Digging" qualities. And I have a spare bucket (shown in pic) to install additional teeth in the proper direction. Everything I do is slightly un conventional.

Re: Wedico Loader with Bucket Teeth
Nice teeth. I purchased some teeth from AFV a while back. I haven't installed them because I like the smooth bucket. So that leads me to my question. Were you able to purchase an extra bucket by itself? Or do you have two 966 loaders? I know that Wedico will not just sell a bucket. Unless something has changed.
That is awesome that you have converted this to the Servonaut and running on a Lipo. I think about it for my 966, but I have a list of other projects on my table. 3S lipo? Better speaker? How long can you now run the loader? Get back to me if you have a moment. No hurry, thank you for your time. Eddie |

Re: Wedico Loader with Bucket Teeth
Very interestin idea on installing those teeth. It looks like it would be a bit of a chore to install. Please provide feedback on how the bucket works no teeth vs upright teeth vs upside-down teeth. I'd bet that it would dig much harder into hard pack with the teeth. I'm running a smooth bucket at the moment.

Re: Wedico Loader with Bucket Teeth
They work pretty well.. You can flick stones out and it does give a lot better results into solid ground.
Just don't expect miracles... I have mine mounted on top... Just a pity that the loader arms don't drop enough to use a flat bucket on loading. Cheers, Ap |
