Default winch controller for my wrecker

Im trying to find 2 good controllers to run the boom on my wedico wrecker arm.. I dont want to run the wedico controller too big and too much money.. Rc4wd has some but they are ON/OFF/ON no smooth controlling does anyone have any ideas..

What about a cheap ESC? That way you could spool it as fast or slow as you wanted.

You will like the ecs. That's what I use on my winch tractor and it works well.

Thanks much guys I found some very nice little lipo esc's at Hobbie King for 11.00 bucks each

Depending on the size of your winch motor you could use the circuit board of a cheap or old servo. The link below shows how I use them on my conversions to control micro gear motors. It works exceptionally well with no creep and no need to carry extra batteries as it plugs right into your receiver and you have full proportional control and not to mention that it takes up next to no space.
