Made some progress on the drag, its now shorter, a bit lower and a beaver tail.
Still not sure whether to go with the Supers or stick with duals:

This project just keeps on evolving!

I bought an aluminium dump bed kit off of ebay.de

A quick mock up:

I like the 6x6 idea, something like this:

Or this:

Now waiting on more parts to arrive.
Thanks for looking

Hi Stuart, love your progress,I'm thinking of building a 4 by 4 army truck and wanted to ask about axles. Are ones that you used both from Tamiya high lift? Also not familiar with the term TLT axle. The front axle on your build looks like regular 1/14 truck axle, but it is steering one,how do you call it and where can I buy it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kaptain, thanks for the compliments.

I used a TLT-1 for the front axle they can be bought here:

TLT axle

or off ebay which is where I got mine, I think I paid around 55usd.

The rears are semi axles with junfac wideners.

I hope to make more progress soon, just waiting on parts to arrive

Good luck with your build an remember to post pics

Cheers
Stu

Great build Stu! I really like the trailer. The dumper is screw-drive, right? Can you post some pics of the mechanism?

Hi Big dog,

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't done much to this truck for a while, been busy with my tractor build. Hope to do more with it over the winter.

I bought it off of ebay.de complete with the lift mechanism, motor, pendulum suspension etc and paid 300€ with delivery, its very well made and sits nice and low on the chassis. I'm happy with the height

That will be a good all- terrain dump truck! The Beier sound module is awesome.
