Default Radios

As far as radios go I think I am going to get a Futaba FC 16 Boat and Truck and put the Servonaut ZWO4FS15 unit in it . This changes it to 2.4 Gh with 15 channels and a third stick and it all plug and play. The instructions are in English. This way I will have enough channels to run almost anything I want and a third stick to run the tracks on my excavator and it will cost $ 697.82 US. At least it for trucks and not air. I got a Airtronics SG 10 and what a night mare to set up for the excavator. Ed

Default Re: Radios

That's high-quality kit right there.
But it's also quite a bit of money.

I'm not sure if money is an issue for you, but if it is:

There are a number of options of what you could do, but assuming that you want to keep the modification simple (because you mention plug&play) modifying a radio like the Turnigy 9x is probably out of the question.

But what would be a nice alternative is a Corona 8 channel 2.4 GHz module.
With a switch, you can select either the FM part of the FC16 or the 2.4 GHz. A lot of conversion threads should be available online.

That said, the Turnigy is easy to modify.
Alternatively, if you have the FC16, you might at first use it in FM mode to see how you like it.
