While waiting on parts on funds for parts (haven't we all been there!) I couldn't help but bolt down the cab, sleeper, fuel tanks and fifth wheel, still need another Rust axle and set of the Wedico aluminum wheels that cost a small fortune.

I'm the type that needs to be able to see where my truck is going to stay focused, after almost two years it would be easy to lose interest.

Still would like to have dual motors, this new trans mission is nice but things look kind of puny under the hood.

You are for sure going in the right direction with the 3rd axle, black frame and those frame bolts are sick. great looking wedico would be proud to own that! that front hook is killer

I got some parts from IH Steve today, His parts are gorgeous. The longer fuel tanks with filler caps are just what I wanted, they are just perfect. The headache rack is also a beautiful part but I unfortunately I won't be using it on my truck. When it sits flat on the frame rails it matches the Wedico perfectly but with the longer fuel tanks the two interfere with each other and the rack would need to be lifted above the roof line of the sleeper, just doesn't work for my taste. I could go back to the stock fuel tanks but after having these tanks that is impossible. I am in the works of changing out my Osswald suspension and Rust axles for Scale Art parts powder coating ruined my Osswald bolsters and the short ones are about as rare as hen's teeth. I was planning on going with a three axle drive and the cabinet headache rack for an awesome heavy hauler, now that I'm not going to use the rack the look is incomplete. I could just go for a tandem but my truck seems too long for that in my eyes. Also have Lynn building me a taillight panel, can't wait to see how that finishes off the back of the truck.

Comments welcomed!

Craig. The truck is looking incredible! You talked about 2 years and not wanting to lose interest?....not possible. A simple glance at this baby would perk up my interest.
Yes, the fuel tanks must stay, very nice fit. I see what you mean about the tool box rack. Do you think a simple rack and keep the third axle would work?
I can't remember, what kind of trailer you putting behind this beauty?

I know this is a link to a Tamiya truck not Wedico but I like the look of it.

Hi Mario.

Thanks for the compliments Mario!

I will probably keep the 3 axle drive. The biggest reason is I just want to try it for myself with 3:1 locking Scale Art diffs and two of their 4 link kits, I have to see if it can be done to a Wedico myself.

For a trailer I'm thinking M+J Talbert lowboy with 4 axle flip but that could change too.

I did a little more playing around tonight, I think I have come up with a mount that would work for the headache rack, have to have one machined up to try it out. How is this the for heavy hauler look? Mmmm.......shiny.

That's one of the nicest trucks i've seen. Where did you get that head ache rack and can you get them for the King Hauler?

Thanks you for the compliments blitzk. The headache rack fits both the King Hauler and the Wedico Peterbilt, contact IH Steve in the vendor's section, He machines them himself.

Craig , did you take the brackets off that I had on ? the box has to sit off the frame about .125" to get the cover off (they're a snug fit with 2 set screws underneath beside both brackets . the truck looks good

Fred , yours is ready, I just want to hit it with purple polish .

Thanks for the compliments Steve, I took the brackets off, I have a plan for a different mount though, I will leave room for the door to come off.

You know Craig, that locker box is kind of growing on me, but it's a look you have to get used to. I'm not sure what you will decide to do with it, but maybe a set of toolboxes, or steps, hanging off the frame rails would be a nice 'filler' if you don't like all that chassis showing. With, or without a third axle.

Thanks Nathan,

With the three axles I think the frame is perfect, without the third axle it looks too long to me. The headache rack has grown on me a lot too, I think if it was about half as thick it would be perfect! The rack looks great from the rear.
