Lets just say its really cool. Im basing it off of a different 1:1 then originally planned, its not going to be exact of the 1:1 but the basic idea will be. Its going to be a tough paint job but ive got a pro lined up to attempt it, but it wont have the new paint before Indy. it'll prob go to paint after Indy or more into winter.

heres a teaser of what im going after. poss same colors but pretty close to this one

Thank you!! those were the 3rd attempt for the fenders and prob not the last. I'd like to have them copied into fiberglass so they are just a hair thinner and smoother still have refining to go. (plus i HATE bondo work never been too good at it)

Thanks for looking!! And BTW truck is nice and clean and shiney again

Ha! Enough pressure and you cracked, the cat is officially out of the bag! Well, I can now understand why you are happy to ditch the existing job, as good as it is, the above concept will be earth shattering. I have still yet to see something so complex and advanced on a 1:14 model. It will be tough to pull off but if you have a pro painter on hand, it should work out pretty well. I am really looking forward to the final result.

Lol yea, its a Sweet paint scheme but it will be a pain to do and time consuming I'd imagine. May ditch the flame details depending how hard it'll be to do but it'll definitely stand out when done on a cab over. The 1:1 is a conventional. But yes I'm not to concerned scratching up the current paint job haha

Ok been busy with a few projects but heres an update of todays truck progress

I Finally have mirrors!!!! YAY Thanks Travis!!

YAY!!!! Seriously you guys have no idea how bad i wanted just to have mirrors.... lol its the little things in life that make me happy haha

Ok so heres a quick solution to an idea untill i have Russ make me a better one but kinda needed to make more room in the rear of the truck i had to get rid of the wide stock bumper. so i made this really quick and got it mounted out of brass... had i had the right cutting tools it would have turned out better.

Random photos with the flatbed a few weekends ago lol

Default My Stretched globeliner (new pics 6-20)

When i got home from work today i had a box waiting for me.
So after i put the kids to bed early i got to work and got this mounted up!!
THANKS RUSS!!!! Nailed it perfectly!!

the original i made and sent him and what i got back

yes i decided to kinda take the aussie style and mix it a little different

Once i can order the new pipes those may be mounted to the rack as originally planned and they may not i havnt fully decided yet. Re wired the truck, and relocated the MFU to being mounted to the top inside of the cab going to be doing something different for sound. same sound just not the same speaker i'm testing a few options but its totally cool!! Still waiting on my LEDS for the lowboy........ then i can get that lit up. Hopefully in the next few weeks another box will arrive and then the truck should be about done before being painted. but the paints gotta wait till after indy.

Thanks for looking let me know what you think about the new rack

Not a dumb question at all. The cab will be put on a hinge to tilt forward like the real cabovers do so I can access everything. Buy for now there are a few options. Unscrew 4 cab screws and lift cab off or remove 2 screws holding the rack mount. I designed the rack with that in mins of using the tank mount stews for easy. Access. 3rd option is put the battery in the frame rails under the deck plate easy to get to.

Nice rack! Haha

Russ did a great job on it, but is there a way to mount it alittle more cleanly? mabe screwed to the deck plate from the bottom?

Once I add the light bar on that bracket you won't notice it as much. I prob could make a mount for under the deck plate but then the deck plate would be raised in that area, currently is using the tank strap holes and screws. The cleaners have some weight to them and pull the rack backwards a little this way that is used now is sturdy and I'll be making a hinged box to square up the mount with lights in it like in the 2nd picture of the paint scheme I want (top of this page pic 2)

Aaron, Russ nailed the breathers and rack, very nice. Now if you put the battery in between the rails, I think that would be the way to go...just my .02
