Default Help with 5th Wheel

On my King Hauler i built the stock Tamiya 5th wheel. I have not put the trip arm on as I plan to convert it to a manual setup.

But, my 5th wheel rocks forward I have checked the instructions a half dozen times and I'm positive it is built correctly.

Any ideas of why this is happening?

Thanks,
Chris

That is just the way they are but some kits do come with a spring to make them tilt back but the king hauler does not come with that spring.

Pic from the Knight Hauler kit. If you can find one or one similar it will work on the King Hauler fifth wheel as well, they are for the most part the same.

Thanks, I will see if I can find a spring. Probably why it was added to later models.

You can get those litte springs at the hardware store. I buy toggle bolts at my local hardware store used for anchoring in dry wall. They have those little spring in them to make them open when pushed through drywall. Just pull them apart and take the spring out.
