Default Custom Bruder Dumper Build

I started this rig a while back now, and have been tinkering on it as time allows. Hopefully I will have the rig run able before the year is out this year. Even if it still isn't finished.
Apparently, I need to upload the pics differently, and link them to here. (Pictures to come soon)

Looking good! What axles are you using? Can the diffs be locked out? Is that what the larger socket head screw on the upper left rear of the diff housing is for?

The Axles are from INTEGY. I purchased them a while back for this purpose. They are very nice quality, and constructed of all aluminum besides the Steel internal gears, etc... I do not know if the Difss can be locked out or not, I do not want them locked out myself, or I think I may run into some issues while trying to turn the truck as the wheelbase is so narrow from using the Bruder model. It is about 3-4" shorter then your normal Tamiya tractor. The diffs have oil in them, so that is my thought on why that screw is on the pumpkin of the Axles. Least that's what I used it for, putting oil into the axles.

THANKS for the info! Yea, after I ask what the screw on the pumpkin was, I remembered that it is for adding the oil.

Nice set-up!!

Well, I have had the steering completed and threw a motor on it to be able to run it around. The motor I threw on it will not be the one that I run on it, but I just needed to get a good starting point for starting input RPM for the setup. I have been working on the dump mechanism recently and will post up some pictures and maybe the test speed videos I shot soon.

I Am also going To Modify a Bruder. they are really a good and cheap option. This dump truck looks awesome! Just a question, are you using hydraulics to lift the bed?

This is an E-maxx transmission I have in this truck. It is a 2 speed tranny, and I had a bunch of them laying around when I started the build so it went in.

No, I will not be using hydraulics to lift the bed. The Cylinder on this truck IS a Pneumatic cylinder, but it is just for the look. The bed will dump as it slides the lower mount for the cylinder along the main frame of the truck. I will post up some pictures of the assembly shortly. It is currently still in progress, but coming along. Slowly.

So, the Servo will drive the ACME threaded rod, and in turn the nut will move along the shaft. The nut will be tied to the lower mount (1/4" aluminum bar you see opposite where the cylinder mounts) and as the nut moves along so will the bed Dump or lower. I know the speed with the current servo I have in it will be very slow, but if needed I can change out the servo easily in the future. I also am going to be using a Brass round Nut on the ACME rod instead of the standard ACME nut, as that will allow me the wear point instead of the shaft.
