Default Sevronaut S20 ECS issue

I bought a Sevronaut S20 ESC a couple of years ago and finally decided to install my in my CAT 740. I followed the directions and set the voltage to 12V but it doesn't work, it doesn't send any power to the motor. When I plug in my battery I have a steady green light that turns on and after a while it is a little warm when I pick it up but other than that it doesn't work. I searched different forums but didn't find anything answers. I am using a Spektrum DXe transmitter and when I disconnect the S20 from the channel I have it in and put another servo on the same channel the servo works fine. Have any of you guys that run the S20 had this issue? Does anyone have any thing I can try to get this to work?

Thanks

Jeff

The ESC needs 2 channels, there is a blue and a white/transperant plugg. One usually hook the up to the 2 channels on the left hand stick. This ESC has 'cruise control', so it don't quite react at first as one expect from a standard ESC. Throttle stick pulled all the way back, left/right to switch between forward/reverse. But it all should be explained in the manuel. You might also find some instructions on youtube. Very popular in Europe.

Thank you for the help.

Unfortunately I don't have a blue and white/transperant plug. My S20 has the red/black wires for the battery, the blue/yellow wire to go to the motor and 4 black jumpers to set voltage and it came with an extra plug for the brake and reverse light. I don't believe that my S20 has cruise control? I took these pictures of everything my ESC came with.

The directions say, Step 1: Plug in the S20 to the receiver, Step 2: Connect the brake/reverse lights with the supplied servo plug, Step 3: Choose the battery voltage, Step 4: Connect blue/yellow wires to the motor, Step 5: Turn on transmitter and then plug in the battery, Step 6: Move the transmitter stick slowly to check the motor is turning in the right direction. Step 7: Connect the sound module to the ESC. Step 8: That's it.

You wouldn't happen to have any other suggestions on how to make this ESC work?

Sorry, I was thinking of the M20. The S20 is more simple to set up. Could you test it with another brand of radio & receiver?

I'll try that, thanks again for the help. I thought this was going to be a simple plug and play, but it doesn't want to cooperate! LOL

The S20 is pretty simple, I have one on my own and used it. Is your BEC working for the 5Volt receiver supply? Measure if you have 5volt on the plug which plugs in to the receiver but careful not touch them together then the BEC is toast.
You can check that with a servo on a different channel input and see if the servo is moving if you don't feel to test that with a voltmeter.
Do have a instruction for it? If not I can send you one.

Check your jumpers. Looks like pic is set with 4 jumpers as normal reverse nimh lipo?
Should be something more like 3 jumpers normal, nimh, 7.2

Make sure rx connection isn't flipped over. Signal is yellow

Are you sure it's connected to the motor correctly?
