MMSTA Meeting Saturday May 7, 2011
I decided to start a new thread just for the pictures from our meeting on Saturday May 7, 2011 in Brighton, Michigan. As my previous note said we had 4 drivers and approximately 8 trucks, 1 loader, and 1 excavator.
We set up in my driveway as can be seen in the pictures. The weather held out for us, warm, not too breezey, and enough sunshine to get slightly red! You'll notice that Darryl had his "mack" truck fleet and his M.A.N. truck. You have to see this model to appreciate it! I had two of my trucks running and 4 trailers available for us to use. Guess I need to get a fork lift too, and some pallets, loads, etc. We had one returning member and one new person. I think he got the "bug"! Ron spent most of the day running one or the other of my trucks. At the end of the day, he was asking which one to Buy!!! Thank you for looking, Jim Last edited by jjackso5; 05-16-2011 at 03:42 PM. Looks like fun. So anything not MAN or Mack was yours?

Jim you mentioned Darryl's MAN and say you have to see it to appreciate it, well you are right it is an amazing truck. I have plenty of trucks of my own to dive but there is only one truck I have ever asked to drive and that was Darryl's MAN it drives just as good as it looks.

Re: MMSTA Meeting Saturday May 7, 2011
Thanks for the responses guys. The M.A.N. in the pictures is Darryl's, as are the M.A.C.K.'s. The other trucks are mine and in addition I have a Wedico M.A.N. that is not shown, but was out for the day as well. Having some problems with the batteries, so I think they need to be replaced, they're not holding a charge lately. The rest of my trucks are Tamiya's:
2 Globleliners (one is the dump being complete now, the other is a stock build, for now) 3 King Haulers (one is a day-cab modifies that i bought from a forum member and am modifiying, the other is in the pictures, red stock except for gear reductions) (one new kit, unbuilt so far, though my son has his eye one it) 1 Knight Hauler, stock, and runs great. 2 box trailers, stock, Tamiya 1 tanker trailer, stock, Tamiya 1 flatbed trailer stock, Tamiya 1 Wedico M.A.N. stock I have to install the sound unit in it. What is shown in the pictures is only a small portion of Darryl's fleet too. I know I've seen several other trucks, but I'll let Darryl provide the details. Thank you again for looking. I'm hoping to meet more of the "community" at upcoming events like the East Coast event, and "Indy". We'll have more gatherings here too. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome, build information for structures etc. too. Jim |
