Awesome Rob! Another beautiful build. I didn't realize you scratchbuilt this disc. Do you collect a lot of 1/16 scale farm toys and customize a lot of them? I used to collect a lot myself, when I was growing up, but these days if I buy something new, it's usually the Ertl Precision series tractors that I like most.

Nathan, I lke scratch & custom building 1/16 tractors and implements. I have always been facinated with farm machinery. This disk is r/c also. the wheels raises and lowers, but the wings don't fold.

Thanks Tc!

Love your disc, great workmanship. I want to build one in the future myself. Are the actual disc plastic? How does it work in the dirt? Any video's of her in action? Sorry for all the questions but doing some research before i tackle this project.

Jeremy, the way i did was to get two of the ertl disk then replicate the frame from that. I also too lots fo pictures of the actual disk for accuracy. You have to be patient witht he brazing though. The are several small pieces in close quarters. If you need any help or pictures, just let me know.

You did a very good job on your disc. There are a lot of parts that make up that thing.

Did you make the discs from bevel washers?

Ken

Sorry for the misinformation. They are NOT called bevel washers.

FGR, those are plastic blades

hauler, anytime, just hit me up, there is a JD dealership and/or a farm every 10 miles around me, so i have plenty access to real stuff. I'm changin the diff out in the tractor, when i get'r all back together, i will post up a vid

Ken, i know what youy meant......fender washer right, but no, they are from the Ertl disk to keep it looking scale for that size....plus, id i had made them from metal washers, the servos would be strong enough to lift it w/o some gigantic servo that would look out of place on the disk. I tried to hise the servo as best as possible.

Rob, if my mom let's me, can I come over your house and play one day?

You have allot of really cool toys. I've been delivering the paper every morning trying to get some $ so I can get some of my own.
