Small update. Installed Russ's Headache rack and a drop axle.Think I might get a locker box from Steve for storing the battery and giving it the heavy haul look.Removed the battery boxes and replaced them with the tanks. http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iner/009-1.jpg http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iner/008-1.jpg http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iner/007-1.jpg

Awsome truck! I was wondering is the drop axle gonna be functional?

As of right now its not.I need to modify the axle and see how it goes from there.

That's cool. I've been stuck on a design of a functional lift axle for a while know.

I'm using a steerable reefer axle so there are no axle shafts to get in the way.I have seen other people use pieces of copper pipe to link halves together while keeping the center open for the drive shaft. If I run the battery in the frame ails it wont be lifting. If I get a locker box for the battery I'll have room for it to lift.Waiting on Russ for his lift axle design, hopefully he comes up with something.

Very nice looking truck! love the look of the old school work hores. Are those the rc4wd low pro tires on the tag axle?

Yea I'm looking forward to see what Russ comes out with. I actually have the brass and the axle to modify. But I'm still at a lose as to how to set up and hide the servo that does the lifting.

I have seen many different ways.I was going to use linkages and a cantilever arm so I could hide the servo.I thought that would be the best way.But I'm still on my learning curve,so alot of trial and error.

I second ya on the learning curve. The main thing I learned is to take you time!

There are alot of threads out there to look at.Look at some of the European forums. They have there stuff together. They think things out and over engineer but in the end it's a class act.Thats where I found my plan for multiple lift and steering axles.I'll see if I still have the link.
