Lou, I've never heard of a juicer before can you explain. The videos are great, love the modified 966, have you or Greg ever thought of doing a Hydroaxe with a Fecon or brush-head? Ben

Re: Logging & Construction Equipment

Hey ben loggers over here use the term Juicer as hydraulic Log loader :)...

Thanks scott thinking that might be a fall project so i will have something to do this winter...load logs in my garage when the weather is nasty

Re: Logging & Construction Equipment

Thanks Rctech9 ddc333...Think the video Thing is kindof cool ..Cant beleive my 60 someodd vids have been veiwed over 1.2 million times and over 600 subscribers now too ..heres a vid called RCNEWS that has a little clip of mine and an honourable mention
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMNX8...eature=channel
Been farly busy painting and getting ready for next weekend...Theirs an antique truck show that greg and I are going to show off our equipment...Lookin forward to the show ...

Steve the pads are plastic that i had shipped over from germany ...They are ok but I still want to build a set of my own..Greg and I had a pushing contest with the D8 a while back and he kicked my butt ...Think metal puts a little more traction to the ground...Cheer Lou

Re: Logging & Construction Equipment

Lou, the difference in the two dozers may be that the thickness of your cleats is too wide and didn't dig in as well as Greg's, b/c aren't the two dozers close to the same weight and track length?

tracksntreadslou 08-30-2010 09:29 PM

Re: Logging & Construction Equipment

Good point Joe ...I could try and mill a little off the side of the grousers and leave enough that it doest break the plastic off..I have a few spares to do a little experimenting on...One thing for sure is that if my dad new that gregs D8 outpushed my TD 25 he would turn over in his grave ..He used to swear up and down that the 25c would do circles around the D9 ...No Offence Dirtpusher...lol 2 cents? :D

dirtpusher9 08-31-2010 10:13 PM

Re: Logging & Construction Equipment

Joe's dead on, the narrow track will get better traction until you get into a softer material.

Congrats on the honorable mention of your vids.:D

No offense taken on the D9 thing, I could take both of you at once!!!!!! LOL:cool:

Looks like a Galion Can't see the power unit. 10-20 McCormick Deering or Fordson. I probably have some sales literature on it.

I'm slowly working on a Caterpillar 15 Motor Patrol similar setup but it as a Cat 15 crawler tractor under it for power.

Lou- the grapple for the Juicer, is that going to be pneumatic or hydraulic? I was looking at the quick connect "T's" and wondering if I could get by with something similar for my grapple, I need it to be able to spin 360 deg., I'll be using an elec. motor to spin the grapple in the direction of choice, the cylinder with be hydraulic on mine.

Hey Ben The tees are rated for fairly high pressure as well..I wouldnt run 20 + bar through them though....I will be running hydraulic

Lou, great vids of running your equipment at that show. You have a fantastic fleet!

I really enjoyed running all of my equipment at a full scale show with Steve this summer. It is very rewarding to have groups of people outside our hobby mesmerized by our little creations.
